Katie is passionate about equipping women to grow into all that God created them to be, discovering WHO they are, WHOSE they are and WHAT they're called to in the process. Her teaching and coaching methods are rooted in renewing the mind with Biblical truth and in shifting our thoughts to what is good, pure and true. (Romans 12:2 and Philippians 4:8)

[78] Is your faith dead? - Faith Friday
Friday Apr 09, 2021
Friday Apr 09, 2021
Holy Spirit is all over this one friends!
I'm pumped about this episode.
Hang tight, it's time for a dose of conviction 🤣
Kidding... it's all said with LOVE because I want the best for you. I want you to go through the narrow gate and find LIFE!!!!
I have a tough question for you today, friend.
Is your faith dead?
Do you say you’re a believer but you walk the same walk as you always have?
If that’s the case, I just wanna tell you a hard truth and I say this in love.
That’s false faith. That’s dead faith.
Your heart isn’t changed.
Listen in with an open heart 💗
SCRIPTURES SHARED:
2 Corinthians 5:17
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come. The old has gone, the new is here!
Matthew 7:13-27
“Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.
“Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves. By their fruit you will recognize them. Do people pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles? Likewise, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. Thus, by their fruit you will recognize them.
“Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?’ Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’
“Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock. But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell with a great crash.”

The Morning Meditation starts at 10:40 😉
Do we need self care or soul care?
Don't get me wrong - I love me some self care sister, and I'm honestly pretty good about treating myself 😆 #sorrynotsorry
But what I really need, and what I think most of us need, is SOUL CARE.
(In my opinion, self care falls within the bucket of soul care but is secondary).
What we need is to cleanse and refresh our souls from this crazy world, daily.
HOW?
Oh, come on. You know what I'm gonna say 🥰
The one and only way that gives true fulfillment.
GOD. JESUS. HOLY SPIRIT.
THE WAY, THE TRUTH, THE LIFE.
Yes, girl, you know it.
So how do we do it?
You know this answer too!!
SPENDING TIME WITH OUR FATHER.
Yes and Amen.
Okay but, I think the key starts at the beginning...
...no, not Genesis 🤣
The beginning of our day.
How we start our day matters. There's power in that.
Let's start it with our Father, by being refreshed by God and see what happens.
In this episode, I share the steps to have one powerful morning (and I share my first ever Morning Meditation!).
A quick recap of what it looks like
- Wake up (wash face or take shower) 10 min
- Biblical Meditation 2 min
- Prayer + Stillness 8 min
- Journaling + Gratitude 10 min
- Bible reading 20 min
- Worship 10 min
Check it out friends and join me. Hugs!

Loved hearing today's testimony from Michelle Porterfield! Michelle shares her journey from daily drinking to being alcohol free, and why she's passionate about sharing that with women and helping them be set free from that same cycle.
Michelle Porterfield is the Host of Set Free Sisterhood podcast and a Certified NeuroTransformational Coach. She specializes in helping women live free from alcohol, get control back, reignite their faith, and thrive in their next steps. She's a Southern girl, born and raised in SC and has 3 cool kids - 2 amazing daughters and a son who was their “bonus kid” through adoption at the age of 5. She's been married to her big strong hubs for almost 19 years.
Michelle has overcome self-doubt, broken promises, daily drinking, and feeling stuck in reaction mode for almost a decade. Her mission is to help women learn that they have control of their thoughts and actions. She wants them to be able to see their value and strength and believe that they can commit to the hard stuff and overcome. Her desire is that they elevate their awareness around the things that they go to when they are stressed, frustrated, angry, uncomfortable, embarrassed, and sometimes even happy. These things keep us small and in captivity. They blur our minds and hearts so that we stay the same. Then women can learn to master their mindset, control their choices, set needed boundaries, and create meaningful relationships with others. They become truly SET FREE.

Hi sweet friends, it's Holy Week. This is the week that changed everything. Jesus was betrayed by one of his dearest friends and delivered into the hands of those who would kill him. But none of this was a surprise to Him - He knew it would happen and He was willing, obedient to His Father's plan. It had to happen to save us.
Take some extra time this week to spend time with God, thanking Him for giving us His one and only Son and praising Jesus for His sacrifice. The one who was sinless died for all of the sinners. He died for you and for me.
Today's meditation:
Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. If you really know me, you will know my Father as well. From now on, you do know him and have seen him.” John 14:6-7

Today we are meditating on James 1:19-20.
Friends, if you struggle with anger, you are not alone. I am with you and this is one verse that I'll be memorizing and turning back to often!
My dear brothers and sisters, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry, 20 because human anger does not produce the righteousness that God desires. James 1:19-20

[71] Why you can boast about your weaknesses - Faith Friday
Friday Mar 19, 2021
Friday Mar 19, 2021
Hey friend, happy Faith Friday!
What does it mean that we can boast about our weaknesses? Why would we want to do that? Today we are digging into 2 Corinthians 12:1-10.
Paul’s Vision and His Thorn
I must go on boasting. Although there is nothing to be gained, I will go on to visions and revelations from the Lord. I know a man in Christ who fourteen years ago was caught up to the third heaven. Whether it was in the body or out of the body I do not know—God knows. And I know that this man—whether in the body or apart from the body I do not know, but God knows— was caught up to paradise and heard inexpressible things, things that no one is permitted to tell. I will boast about a man like that, but I will not boast about myself, except about my weaknesses. Even if I should choose to boast, I would not be a fool, because I would be speaking the truth. But I refrain, so no one will think more of me than is warranted by what I do or say, or because of these surpassingly great revelations. Therefore, in order to keep me from becoming conceited, I was given a thorn in my flesh, a messenger of Satan, to torment me. Three times I pleaded with the Lord to take it away from me. But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.
